In order to better protect all of its occupants at all times, the Jaguar E-Pace is offered with a number of advanced safety features. Here are three of them.
The Clearsight rear view mirror
The Jaguar E-Pace can be ordered with a new type of interior rear-view mirror that allows a better view of what is happening behind the vehicle at all times. To do so, the Clearsight mirror uses a camera mounted on the roof of the E-Pace to display a live video feed on the center rear view mirror. This makes it easier to see what is happening behind in every situation, especially when there are passengers on the rear seat or cargo that is blocking the rear window. Drivers who prefer a regular mirror can simply turn off this feature at any moment.
The driver condition monitor
The Jaguar E-Pace comes standard with the driver condition monitor, which is a system that can detect if the driver is getting drowsy and is at risk of being inattentive or even falling asleep. To do so, the E-Pace monitors a number of inputs that include the driver’s actions on the steering wheel, the accelerator, and the brake pedal. If erratic or unusual behaviour is determined, the E-Pace displays a message to encourage drivers to take a break from driving in order to be more alert for the rest of their drive.
The Standard AWD with Jaguar Drive Control
Every Jaguar E-Pace is equipped with a competent all-wheel drive system that includes the Jaguar Drive Control and Adaptive Surface Response. Both of these systems work in tandem to ensure the E-Pace is always planted on the road even when there is snow and ice on the ground. This helps ensure the safety of everyone on board when the roads are slippery, but also on dry pavement since it makes the E-Pace more capable of avoiding obstacles while leaving complete control to the driver.
